Nice park for big group gathering. There are facilities for playing baseball, tennis, volleyball and playgrounds for kids.
Another one of Ames great parks. Restrooms, shelter (with electricity), nice playgrounds, plenty of parking and green space, and there's even tennis and volleyball. So great for families!
It's a great park. Has three shelters that can be reserved cheaply for events. There are two separate children's playgrounds one has a big swing set the other. A nice wide open field twofer on balls and sometimes to play ultimate football and soccer there.
Upkeep is okay. The trails could use a little work or signs that say there is limited trail maintenance at BOTH ends of the trail. If there already are signs posted, they need to be more visible.
Plenty of space to do any activity you could think of. Two large shelters to use. They can be reserved by calling Ames parks and rec. Nice trail off the back part of the park.
