I have used papa johns many times for company meals and this time would have been no different than any other time or so i thought. I placed the order online at 11:30am, email stated that delivery would be 30-40 and that is what i expected. After an hour and still had not been delivered. So i called the store and spoke with a very angry person on the phone. All i wanted to know was how much longer till i would receive our food. I was told it would be 2 hrs and that i would get it when i got it. So i asked if it was ready and i would just come pick it up, was told it was in a delivery car and and i should see it in about an hour. So the call was ended as i was getting now where with the lady i was talking to. So the food finally showed up about 1:15pm after further inspection of food it was all cold. The driver was very apologetic for the delivery time as they were busy and i understand that as i am a store manager for a retail store in ames as well and i felt that i was treated terrible with very poor customer service. Just a simple phone call stating that they were busy and delivery time would be slow could have fixed the problem all together. I didnt call the store back as i felt i would be treated the same and nothing would be done to make it right. I will not be using this location ever again.
I go here all the time. The pizza is good, the pizza is cooked fast, and at least a few of the staff know me by name now. Not sure if that's a good sign though...
I have a mild Papa John's addiction. This location has never screwed up an order, which is amazing considering the amount of times I've placed one there. I've always ordered online with no issues.
