Rooms were clean and nice looking, good free breakfast, nice size pool, good tv service
Very nice place. Clean room, friendly staff. It doesn't have the best "curb appeal" for some reason, I can't put my finger on. But I am very satisfied with this place for the price. Plus, they don't charge extra for pets. Very nice.
Updating this review. Stayed for a second time after the remodel. Found the place clean and quite. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Plenty of parking and the breakfast was more than I could ask for. The price was cheap enough and I will be staying there next time I'm in Ames.
Very friendly staff and accommodating service. We arrived at 3:30am and they gave us an additional 2 hours to check out. When we came down for breakfast they were putting it away but allowed us to dish up. Room was very nice.
By the way, call them directly before you book on Expedia. I found out too late I would have saved almost 70 bucks on a 3 night stay if I had booked directly. Oh well, live and learn.
The bed was a bit stiff but nothing compares to my bed at home so I may be a bit biased. The rooms were clean. Excellent shower water pressure and temperature. Couldn't find a happy medium with the room temperature though. 70 was too cold and 71 was too hot. The fans also kicked on for a minute and then turned off for a minute and repeat for the entire stay. Staff was very friendly though and the breakfast was decent. Overall was a very pleasant stay.
