Heartland Baptist Church is truly a Bible teaching church and has a welcoming church family. From my personal interaction with all of the staff I can personally say that they all have a heart for God and are dedicated in their ministry to church members and the community. HBC has several ministries for every age from small children to senior citizens. The Bible is preached to all in a straightforward fashion but in a way that is engaging and leaves you wanting to hear more.
Great bible believing church with friendly and helpful people, that will make you feel very welcome. I have called this church my home for the last 5 years and it has been the best decision I've made. They have classes for every age group and all teaching comes from the bible. Heartland is a great place to bring your family to learn about the bible and all the amazing things in it.
He made it clear that there is not now and has never been an anti-jeans rule at Heartland, indicated the issue had already been addressed with staff but also gave his word of honor that he would address it again to be sure that it won't be a stumbling block for any future visitors.
Great people. Uplifting music. Biblical preaching. Pastor is great. New building is wonderful! Racially dynamic church.
I have been a born again believer since 1971 and have always sought out Bible believing and preaching churches wherever I have lived. HBC has been my church home for over 4 years. A diverse congregation and great ministries for every age group. The Bible is taught in a practical and alive way making it relevant, and interesting while still keeping to its historical and factual roots. Doctrinal foundations are the backbone of any great church and it's true at Heartland. A truly welcoming and friendly church with great music of worship and praise.
After a few weeks at this church we had an issue with a confused volunteer who tried to enforce a very odd dress code that we suspected wasn't actually church policy (spoiler alert: it wasn't policy, like all good churches Heartland is come as you are both for visitors and for volunteers).
While I do wish it had been more definitively dealt with in the moment, it is the mark of loving brothers and sisters to be able to lovingly discuss, address and forgive the inevitable hurts and disagreements that we encounter in our walk together
We eventually found a church home elsewhere, but I am grateful that Heartland reached out to us for reconciliation and we wish them well in their ministry.
When we initially brought it up with the pastor I felt dismissed and came away with the impression the policy was real, but after I expressed that feeling in a review here on Google the pastor called and apologized.
