Got right in.
Polite, friendly people, great wait staff (even on a busy Sunday morning) and excellent menu. Pumpkin pancakes with caramel drizzle were yummy! Coffee leaves a little bit to desired, but that's coming from someone who likes a strong dark cup. :-) Our last waitress missed a few details, but we had a few picky requests also LOL
Cheerful service, good food. The Strawberry Rhubarb Pie was terrific. Reuben sandwich was very tender, not stringy. Downside: The Senior Citizen discount rules are very similar to the Internal Revenue Code: confusing and not generous. If you are eligible, you must ask for the discount; cashier is not allowed to prompt you. I like the food and will visit again.
Most of our visits here are good. Occasionally service is slow, or an order gets goofed. However, 9/10 times service and food are both great.
Our orders Come to us quite fast.
Food was good!
And besides you can't beat free Pie Wednesday.!
The staff went above and beyond as I did not see roast beef and mashed potatoes and gravy over the bread so I asked if the cook could make that as it was not on the menu and the cook did. Thanks for the waitress and the cook.. I I am impressed with Village Inn in Ames Iowa as they have remodeled in there and they have changed up their menu two newer items.
